CRAGS AGAINST HUMANITY

Climbing Association of Southern Arizona (CASA) is excited to announce that the Coronado National Forest has fully approved upgrades to the Crags Against Humanity climbing area as part of the Santa Catalina Trail Plan. Full press release on Stewardship NEWS CRAGS AGAINST HUMANITY PROJECT
The Crags Against Humanity Project, an initiative aimed at preserving and enhancing climbing areas, has recently achieved a significant milestone. The project, led by the CASA Stewardship Lead Eric Ruljancich, has received NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act) approval from the Coronado National Forest (CNF).
This approval marks a crucial step forward in the project's goal of adopting and improving the area known as Crags Against Humanity, located within the CNF. More information can be found in the Stewardship News. RAPTOR NESTING SEASON
This is the time of year to be aware of nesting Raptors in areas such as Cochise Stronghold, Barnum/Gumby Rock, and Upper Mountain Crags. Go to Climbers & Raptors for more information, and register potential nesting areas. April 15, 2024: Two raptors were reported flying and calling in the Muttonhead area. The nest was observed on a cliff directly north and opposite of the third pitch of Mystery of the Desert on MuttonHead. Please take caution in this area. FOREST SERVICE NEWS
