CASA Education Nights

Picture
The CASA November Education Night took place on a chilly night on November 9th at the Tucson Hop Shop.  At least 30 attendees braved the cold front that came blasting through right before the event.
Luke Bertelsen's engaging topic, Big Whips and Rodeo Clips: A Toolkit for Your Next Climbing Project, was a talk that provided tips on how to choose, prepare, and practice for your redpoint of an inspiring climb.

For those who stayed to the end, Luke handed out cards with recommended 5.10, 5.11, 5.12, and 5.13 projects at area crags. CASA also held a free raffle where some fun swag was distributed to 10 lucky winners.

For those who missed Luke's talk, a link to his presentation slides will be posted at the bottom of the Education > Events.

A huge thank you to Nick Henscheid and Don Wilson for presenting their talk about big wall skills, planning and strategy, big wall gear, and experiences on the big stones.

For those who missed Nick's and Don's talk, a link to their presentation slides has been posted at the bottom of the Education > Events page.
