Protect Outdoor Climbing for All Climbers
Let your U.S. Senator know to support the EXPLORE Act
Let your U.S. Senator know to support the EXPLORE Act
Recently, CASA led the local push to educate and empower local climbers to provide comments to fight back against the US Forest Service's proposed rule changes to fixed anchors. These changes would have crippling impacts on climbing access everywhere, including Southern Arizona, and would also pose safety concerns.
To meet this threat to climbing access, the bipartisan Protecting America's Rock Climbing (PARC) Act was recently passed unanimously out of the US House of Representative, demonstrating how universally important outdoor recreation access is to the public.
Now, the US Senate has pennsed the bipartisan Expanding Public Lands Outdoor Recreation Experiences (EXPLORE) Act, which includes the Representative's' PACT and BOLT Acts, and is poised to vote to pass into law and putting it on the President's desk for signature.
Please take a moment let your U.S Senator know how you feel about protecting climbing access everywhere by sending a letter through the Access Fund's Action Alert. It only takes a few minutes!
